MediCab — Refund & Cancellation Policy
Operated by AAYUU SOFTWARE (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This policy forms part of the MediCab Terms of Service. Nothing in it limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Our commitment
MediCab helps families manage and refill medications. Because we're handling something as important as your family's health, our refund policy is simple and generous: if you don't get the medication, you don't pay for it.
Medicines are dispensed and delivered by independent licensed local pharmacies. MediCab coordinates your order and charges a small platform fee. When a refund is due, we handle the whole refund for you in one go — the medicine cost (which we process on the pharmacy's behalf) and our platform fee together. You never have to chase the pharmacy separately.
When you're eligible for a refund
You are entitled to a full refund in any of the following cases:
- Your order was not delivered to the patient or the delivery address.
- Your order could not be fulfilled — for example, the pharmacy was unable to supply the medication, or could not verify the prescription for a prescription-only medicine.
- You cancelled your order before it was dispatched.
- You were charged but no order was created (we monitor for this and will refund you proactively, often before you notice).
- The wrong medication or wrong quantity was delivered. Please do not open or take medication you did not order — contact us immediately. We will refund you in full, coordinate the correct order with the pharmacy, and the pharmacy will arrange collection of the incorrect item where required.
- Your order was only partly delivered. You receive a proportional refund for the undelivered part, and our platform fee on that part.
A full refund means 100% of what you paid — the medicine cost and the MediCab platform fee.
How to request a refund
- Message us on WhatsApp at +91 91879 64895 or email support@medicab.co.in.
- Tell us your order details and what went wrong.
- For urgent situations — especially if a patient is close to running out of essential medication — tell us, and we will prioritise it immediately.
Refund timelines
- We will initiate approved refunds within 1–2 business days.
- Refunds are credited to your original payment method within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank.
- If a refund is delayed beyond the timeline required by law, you may be entitled to compensation as per RBI guidelines.
Cancellations
- Payment is only taken after the pharmacy confirms your order — so before that point, there is simply nothing to refund.
- After payment, you may cancel any order before it is dispatched for a full refund.
- Once an order has been dispatched, contact us and we'll help resolve the situation with the pharmacy case by case. Please note that dispensed medicines generally cannot be returned or resold, so post-dispatch cancellations depend on the pharmacy's position — but the refund cases listed above (non-delivery, wrong item) always apply in full regardless.
If the pharmacy can't deliver on time
If we learn that your medication cannot be delivered as scheduled, we will tell you as early as possible so you can make alternative arrangements — and where another partner pharmacy in your area can fulfil the order instead, we will offer to route it there. For essential medications where timing is critical, tell our support team and we will treat it as our highest priority.
